The OG Tier is reserved for graduates from Macro's initial five cohorts, which range from Block 0 to Block 4. Macro's tiered graduation status system was not implemented until Block 5, giving the OG Tier holds a special significance as a testament to a graduate's success as an early adopter of Macro's fellowship program. Though Macro will continue to graduate engineers in the Honors, Engineers, and Founders tiers over time, the number of OG Tier graduates is forever limited to 51.

Our stringent standards for participation, project completion, code quality, and security ensure our graduates are outstanding, security-focused smart contract engineers.
To motivate our Fellows to deliver their best work, we've implemented a tiered system of graduation status - Honors, Engineers, or Founders Tier - based on the number of security vulnerabilities discovered in each smart contract code submission. A special OG Tier is reserved exclusively for early adopters.
With the Graduate Soulbound Token, Macro graduates possess tangible proof of their capabilities to future employers, co-founders, and the wider blockchain community.
