"There may be a great fire in our soul, yet no one ever comes to warm himself at it, and the passers-by see only a wisp of smoke." ”The Minipeople" is an art series that illustrates my experience with depression. Each image is a message from my subconsciousness trying to show me the way and guide me through difficult times. These works were a way to communicate with my soul when my mind was trying to keep me occupied with negative thoughts. This one is to remind you that most people don’t know anything about you. They see only a small part of who you are. They don't really know you. But it doesn’t stop them from having opinions about you, and it doesn’t stop YOU from believing in what they say. You let people distract you and draw you away from your fire, from the place of power, from who you really are. Don't let yourself believe that they know better what's good for you. Others can inspire you, help you illuminate your path with their own fire, but your path is and always will be your own, different from any other path that has ever existed. Have courage to stay by your fire. To be who you are.
