This cinematic render took me three weeks to complete. It’s inspired by a trip I took with a good friend to a place called Cape Spear, Newfoundland, the most eastern part of North America. We were welcomed with hurricane-force winds that shook our parked car, and when we stepped outside, it didn’t take more than 10 minutes to feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. We were lucky to be on land, and not lost in the icy abyss, unlike the unfortunate few people whose names were etched into a nearby rock. All of them lost at sea. We went back a few times, calling it a “mortality run” to remind us how lucky we felt to be alive. The images we saw, and the feelings Cape Spear left us with was the inspiration for my render.
