Gentangle is a coined word from "gen = to give life , to give rise to" + "tangle = to be bound, to be entangled", meaning "something born in a tangle". The lines move freely, tangle, and take shape, and eventually take on meaning as if they were alive. The way the meaning is seen and understood differs from person to person. It can be said that the true life breathed into this work is the form that is felt when the work and the sensibility of the observer are connected.

Gentangleは「Gen = 命を与えること・生じるもの」+「tangle = 結ばれる・もつれる」の造語で「もつれながら生まれたもの」という意味です。 線が自由に動き、もつれ、形を作っていき、いずれそれは生命を宿すように意味をなします。 その意味の見え方・捉え方は人によって違います。作品と観察者の感性が結びつき、感じた形こそがこの作品に吹き込まれた真の生命と言えるでしょう。
