It was a beautiful damp morning on Washingtons Olympic Peninsula. I had just waken up prior to dawn to explore this place in the calm morning light. The smell of dew filled my nose and that strong, crisp air coated my lungs as I opened my windows after a long night sleeping in the car. After a brief drive, I came across this dense patch of fog in the forest. I try and exit my car quickly to go explore this dark and intriguing area, but before I can even unbuckle my seatbelt, this beautiful creature emerges from the mist. I froze for a second, soaking up that fleeting feeling of euphoria when you experience something beautiful. I remember the sound of the trees rustling, the slow drizzle pattering on my windshield and the softness of his gaze when we locked eyes through the viewfinder. I find myself thinking of this moment very often. Something I won’t soon forget
