Situated in south-east Siberia, Russia, Lake Baikal, also known as “the Pearl of Siberia,” is the oldest (25-30 million years) and deepest (1,642 meters) lake in the world. Registered as a World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996, the lake houses rich biological resources and an overall high animal species diversity, from which 80% are endemic.

Using the IPFS technology, Etherland is connecting physical real estate and world places' data with a digital layer built on the Ethereum Blockchain. This virtual layer, or Etherland's Earth Metaverse, is displaying unique identity tokens for every real estate and place on Earth in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens named "Land ID".
