Edition 50/50 Maximum 3000px on the long side

I remember this day well. At the time of this writing it was almost two years ago, although it honestly still feels like yesterday. The pandemic had just reached Canada and it was all over the news, but life was still normal.

My friend picked me up at the train station and we made our way to the canyon. We wanted to explore and find some unique perspectives. It was perfect weather for it: light rain and a sufficient amount of mist! We clambered our way down to the bottom of the canyon, and I had some success there. But on the way back up, I found this little viewpoint and it immediately grabbed my attention.

And I’m glad it did, because this has become one of my most popular images, and a personal favorite! My goal was to really capture the lushness and scale of the canyon. It’s not often you come across a good viewpoint that looks down into a rainforest canyon - often there is just too much greenery in the way!
