The concept I had in my head when creating this was a pond in the shape of a bird and that same bird in the sky.
It gives the illusion of meaning and purpose behind a random event.

Sometimes I have a thought out plan and sometimes I just like to start with nothing and let my the drawing lead me(that doesn’t always work).
I like mystery, contradictions and opposites. Black and white versus color. Complicated versus simple. Real versus imaginary.
I often have these elements(and others) in my illustrations.
