IITA is an agricultural research institute in Ibadan. It is known for it's greenery and serene environment and it attracts visitors from far and wide to visit. There is a big lake at IITA and my friends and I go frequently to soak in the calm, cool atmosphere. Visiting the institute reminds you of the importance of living with nature and incorporating natural elements into your environment.
I have spent the past 2 years traveling Nigeria and documenting stories about our culture, history and landscapes. Throughout my life, African countries have been depicted in a negative manner in the media and I do this to show the world that Africa is lush, rich and diverse. I document these stories on my personal website www.foluoyefeso.com, and the photographs in this collection are favorites from the journey so far. Thank you for being here!
