FOMO-Fear Of Missing Out collection image

FOMO “fear of missing out” is the fear of not being able to follow the developments on social media. Individuals with FOMO syndrome experience intense anxiety due to not being aware of current information. With these concerns, they constantly check their phones or other technological devices. FOMO syndrome is especially seen in Generation Z. In addition, it is observed more frequently in individuals with limited ability to cope with stress and have poor control over impulsive actions. Furthermore, FOMO syndrome can occur with nomophobia, which is defined as the fear of being without a phone.
