These hand symbols mean feelings of protection, strength, courage, and emotional balance. When I read about the meaning and what this cause is for, I immediately thought of the sunset and how we all feel around the world looking at it. The sunset is universally considered a beautiful event to witness in our daily lives and it brings us all feelings of calm and hopefulness. I wanted to marry the mudras I drew with the sunset photograph I took because I wanted to approach this project with a message that there is support, there is hope, there is love for women, and we can build a better world.
Hands Off Our Girls! Is a new campaign within the NFT space with one message: freedom and safety for all women and girls. We focus on art collaborations between NFT Artists who are keen to give women a voice. Our first project aims to celebrate Afghan women. Each Artist has used their signature style to create an NFT art piece depicting love, healing, unity and solidarity with every Afghan woman who needs a chance to live, learn, celebrate and educate the world about their culture, roots and ideologies using their own voice.
100% of the proceeds from the Hands Off Our Girls campaign will go toward the education of women and girls, including food and living essentials for families on the ground in Afghanistan.
All secondary sales royalties will go directly to the artists.
