Leymah Roberta Gbowee, born in 1972 in Monrovia, Liberia, is considered the Queen of Peace! The African activist organized the movement that ended the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003.

Through UNICEF, she participated in training that enabled her to work in the rehabilitation of people traumatized by war.

In 2011, Leymah won the Nobel Peace Prize and to this day leads the African Women's Network for Peace and Security.

An icon of African history, who inspires women around the world, Leymah Gbowee, will represent the institution Cufa: Mães da Favela, which helps thousands of women to have more peace in their homes.
