Laudelina de Campos Melo, Minas Gerais, born in Poços de Caldas on October 12, 1904. The first black woman who faced the machismo and prejudice of the time to raise the flag of domestic servants in Brazil. Laudelina was the founder of the first working class union that is so essential in our homes to this day. He also fought for the largest association in the history of the black movement, which had 30,000 members throughout the 1930s.

Laudelina comes to represent and strengthen the Marielle Franco Institute, which, like Marielle, fought for social equality in Brazil.
