Two pairs of footprints appear going down the beach as if they were holding hands. The old naked couple has been laying out in the same place since I have been coming here. A dog runs by chasing the waves and trying to bite them just as they crest. The sea is rather calm today and the water is a deep greenish-blue but still a little too cold to go in all the way yet. There is a slight breeze that carries the far-off thumping rhythm of the base coming from the harbor. A brief fleeting moment of perfection.
