Inspired by Kanye West's song & music video “Runaway”. The technical goals of the "KW" series were to experiment with texture, depth, and movement. While painting this piece the song “Runaway” was on constant loop so that the passion felt in the song can then translate to the art. It's a story of juxtaposition, elegant, soft ballerinas with precise movements against a concrete textured, chaotic, moving background. Strong and soft. And an ode to Kanye with a girls giving a "peace' sign in mid-dance. Art revisited in 2021 as a NFT collectable set of 10.
