It is more difficult to see than roe deer and chamois because it lives in large forests interspersed with glades and does not venture into open spaces until dawn and dusk. The time of the slab, the name given to the rut in autumn, where we can hear the raucous and ecstatic cry of the males, is an extraordinary moment to observe.
