The concept of the collection focuses on interobjectivity and empathy, exploring its nature and trying to consider this ability not only in people, but also in objects.
Empathy is conscious compassion with the current emotional state of another person without losing the sense of origin of this experience. Is it peculiar only to man? Or is it an algorithm that machines can learn? Or maybe it is information inherent in the cells of all living and inanimate things in our world? Does the planet have empathy? Is empathy an automatic process triggered every time we see someone else's emotions in life, on a screen? If these reactions are automatic, what is conscious empathy? How do we distinguish whether these are my emotions or someone else's? Since our capacity for empathy is innate, what are the evolutionary advantages of this way of understanding? These are the questions raised by the latest research on empathy, bringing together psychologists and neuroscientists.
