Decisions – Alive by Yihong Hsu, which includes a rendition of the artist’s paintings in digital animation for the first time. Through an intricate narration of her paintings, the artist would like each element of nature to be perceived as a character in her story, alive with distinctive charisma and characteristics. Stories of how they grow, compete, strive to survive, reproduce, in which all depends on their specific species, looks, and personalities. It is a metaphorical expression of how the artist sees people. What happens in the human world also happens in nature. The artist hopes this animated version of her work of art helps the audience perceive the energy and breath of life in her creations.

Based in Hong Kong, Yihong Hsu was born in Seoul, South Korea as 3rd generation Chinese. Yihong received her Bachelor of Art in Graphic Design at Maryland Institute, College of Art, USA and later received her Master of Arts in Design Management, at the International Design School for Advanced Studies at Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. Her multi-cultural background led her to a successful career in design and creative branding for 18 years. In 2018, she had her first break through as an artist, and has since then found a new passion in contemporary art and have been painting and exhibiting around the world.
