“Teach Me How To Self Destruct” 2020
Original painting: Mixed media on deep edged canvas 150x100x5cms.
Probably my personal favourite painting, and pretty much the only one which hangs in my apartment. The story behind its creation isn’t positive as such as I created it while struggling with my own brain and downing a bottle of whisky, but the finished product is something I’m proud of. It marks the chapter where I started channelling those emotions onto canvas in a visual language surrounding mental health and abstract story telling.
I’ve always said that my art is my therapy, and will always encourage those who feel like it might help them to try painting/drawing or whatever outlet makes them feel alive. I use my practice to help me, but really I want it to help others.

A collection of works that explore the synaesthetic translation of sound and emotional responses of sensory perception into painting form. All original paintings, cover image is "I Am Unbalanced But I Feel My Soul". The majority of these pieces have been overpainted so now exist as new compositions as this is a huge part of my practice, amending and developing pieces to suit my current mood; so to give these timestamps an immortal place on the blockchain feels right.
