Bill Murray is a frequent visitor to theCHIVE Headquarters. He has never shown up announced. Once during the busy holiday season, a large group touring theCHIVE noticed a man sleeping on the couch in the lobby, “Is that… Bill Murray?” “Yes, the tour guide responded, “But don’t wake him up, he’ll be grumpy.”
During another visit, Bill began calling Chive employees into the conference room one by one to ask their thoughts about kale, eventually determining that, even if it is a well-gussied up salad, the cruciferous vegetable is in poor taste.
There is one constant during Bill's trips to theCHIVE Headquarters. Bill Murray has taken a shine to a taxidermy Oryx at theCHIVE entrance affectionately named Oatie. Bill always shows up with a drink for the Oryx because, “Oatie looks parched."
The Bill Murray 1000 is a collection of unique biographical membership NFTs that tell the story of iconic actor, comedian, and writer, Bill Murray – and a life very well-lived.
