Anaïs Zhang—known as Anais Z. in the digital realm—is a Chinese-born, French artist with a Master’s in Oil Painting from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
Now based in Biarritz on the shores of the Basque Country, her work draws from the landscapes and faces she has encountered across continents—from the snow-capped mountains of Tibet to the narrow streets of Macau and the grasslands of the American Midwest.
Over the last 2 years, Anaïs has dedicated herself to Heroji—a multidisciplinary project where she summons twelve mythic guardians of nature, reviving ancestral stories through the lens of contemporary digital art.
