A torso was then found in the basement of the building being constructed as the new Metropolitan Police Headquarters in Whitehall, on Oct. 2, 1888. The coroner matched the arm to the torso. The victim was never identified. It was believed she was murdered on Sept. 8, which was the same night the Ripper victim, Chapman, was killed.
