Always was and always will be. Here is a photo I took last year of the sunset on Boonwurrung land representing the Aboriginal flag.
Australia day is currently celebrated on the day that marks the beginning of the invasion/genocide. First Nation peoples suffered massacres, land theft, stolen children and widespread oppression at the hands of colonizing forces. For many indigenous Australians, January 26 is a day of mourning the history that followed the arrival of Sir Arthur Phillip and the First Fleet.
January the 26th is not the date to celebrate. #ChangeTheDate
I hereby acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders as the first inhabitants and the traditional custodians of the lands where I live, learn and work. I recognize their continuing connection to land, waters and culture, and I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
This collection is called 'Natures Artworks' because I give nature most of the credit for these beautiful creations. As a photographer I simply choose which subjects and from which perspective I capture natures beauty. All photos of this collection were taken in Australia using my Nikon D5600 camera. Upon purchase you will receive the un-watermarked tiff file of the artwork which may be used for personal means including printing. Each piece will start at 0.22 ETH (Polygon) This collection is minted with Polygon due to concerns around the extremely energy intensive nature of the Ethereum blockchain... Polygon not only reduces greenhouse gasses but also eliminates gas fees which can be quite expensive.
