Blue moon

1季節に満月が4回起こるとき、その3回目をブルームーンと呼びます。 また、大気中の塵の影響により月が青く見える現象をブルームーンと呼ばれています。 青い月を見ることは大変難しいため、 19世紀半ばにonce in a blue moon"は「極めて稀なこと」「決してあり得ないこと」といった意味で使われる慣用句となりました。 同時に「奇跡」という意味合いを持つと言われています。 そして、半世紀の歴史を持つ青薔薇の品種のブルームーンを併せて描きました。 薔薇のブルームーンの花言葉は「けっしてあり得ないこと」「幸せの瞬間」です。 そのことから、この作品は「奇跡」がテーマになりました。
