Jyatai

As a quotation from the "Natural History", a folk customs journal of the Jin Dynasty in China, it is stated that "if you sleep with a human belt laid out, you will dream of a snake". It has been handed down in Japan since ancient times, and is interpreted as a depiction of the words "jashin" (evil heart) and "jashin" (snake body). The snake is often used as a figurative image of a woman's jealousy, evil heart, or other deformed mind.

蛇帯（じゃたい）

中国の晋代の民俗風物誌『博物志』からの引用として、「人帯を敷いて眠ると蛇の夢を見る」と述べられている。日本でも古くから伝えられており、「邪心（じゃしん）」と「蛇身（じゃしん）」の語呂合わせで描かれたものと解釈される。蛇は女性の嫉妬心、邪心などの異形の心を比喩するイメージとしてしばしば使用される。
