Match labels, like any other subject of industrial graphics, are a mirror of the era. The match label was skillfully used as one of the means of agitation, education of Soviet people. In the drawings decorating matchboxes, you can find images of monuments of culture, art, history, folklore and classical literature, portraits of many figures of science and art, outstanding people who paved the way for progress, national ornaments and images of toys.
