This is one of a series of digital and analogue artworks I have produced in response to well known [and not so well known pieces of portraiture from the world of art. This particular piece is my version of a photograph from 1907 of Maud Wagner, circus performer and the first known female tattoo artist in the United States [photographer unknown].
