I toss and turn, trying to escape,
The nightmares that leave me agape,
But they persist, like a shadowy wraith,
And I'm left alone to face my fate.

In the daylight, I put on a mask,
To hide the pain of my haunted dream,
But at night, I am stripped bare,
And my demons seem to have no care.

So I'll continue to hide, to flee,
From the dreams that won't let me be,
And hope that one day, they'll disappear,
And I'll find some peace, without fear.
