A photographer with a passion for portraiture, @hurtingbombz has been fortunate enough to have taken a journey from student photographer to film buff, to early Flickr personality, to pro photographer, featured by IG, VSCO and 500px. In that time, he has worked with brands and trademarks as diverse as Prada, MR. PORTER, American Airlines, Assouline, Tiffany & Co, and many more, with his lens capturing faces from Scandinavia to North America, from Tokyo to Sydney, and of course back to Hong Kong, his base.

For this series, he wanted to go “back to his roots” and tell a story of portraiture and a passion for collecting, guided by the unique cameras that have taken him through 20 years of imagemaking. At the same time, for these pieces, he took inspiration from Hong Kong’s tight, clustered environment and neon facades. The model poses with bodies from his six-decade-long camera collection, from the 60s til present, signposting every stop in a career spent shooting well.
