Title: To Dance the Dream Called Art.

Dance allows us to focus on the human form as it moves through time and space. It calls our attention to visual shapes and patterns. Like a painting, dance invites us to see beyond what we can see, and to explore how we feel.

To Dance the Dream Called Art uses a visual vocabulary with an idiosyncratic poetic vein, driving the narrative whilst blending, twisting, and blurring the traditional guidelines.

Carl works predominantly in oil on canvas. His work aims to give the visual image context and relevance, challenging institutionalised ideals and hierarchy. He chooses not to recognise the authority of any single style or definition of what art should be, aiming to breakdown the division between high culture and everyday life.
