The stage is set, the moment awaits,
the crowd comes in and anticipates,
the laughter or drama that is about to unfold,
it will certainly be entertainment for young and old.
COVID stole this joy from us for a moment in time,
and many of the performers could not earn a dime.
But their hearts still beat and have stayed strong,
the good times will return, and the show must go on.
This photo is dedicated to all the people associated with the theatre.
The time during COVID was especially hard for the arts but the signs of recovery are coming back.
The "VolksbÃŒhne" am Rudolfplatz offers a diverse cultural programme and is Cologne's oldest surviving theatre. It was also the home of the well-known Volkstheater Millowitsch from 1936 to March 2018.

On a cold wet night in Cologne, I ventured out to meet with some friends. I had my camera with me and as soon as I saw the striking neon lights of the "VolksbÃŒhne" I had to take a shot.
The "VolksbÃŒhne" am Rudolfplatz offers a diverse cultural programme and is Cologne's oldest surviving theatre, it was also the home of the well-known Volkstheater Millowitsch from 1936 to March 2018.
This is my first edition after a successful genesis drop. I just wanted to make this piece accessible to everyone and especially to my followers on Twitter who have provided me with so much support in 2022.
