“Happiness is in the quiet, ordinary things. A table, a chair, a book with a paper-knife stuck between the pages. And the petal falling from the rose, and the light flickering as we sit silent.” Simple, ordinary things flow around The Wave, occasionally coming together so you may notice these often overlooked, yet often beautiful moments. The things themselves total 1440 – the number of minutes in one day.
Brendan Dawes is a UK based generative artist. A Lumen Prize and Aesthetica Art Prize Alumni, his work has featured in many exhibitions across the world including Big Bang Data in thirteen cities, three MoMA shows in New York together with his Cinema Redux work becoming part of the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art in 2008. Most recently he was featured in the Aesthetica Art Prize 2021 Future Now Anthology.
