Endeavor

A tree in solitude reminds us to reach for the stars.
This image looks toward the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, where there is a massive black hole at the very heart of the Sagittarius constellation which holds the galaxy together. Without this, would we exist, or this simple tree, or any life on Earth for that matter?
This ancient Totara tree has weathered many storms but still stands tall.

I shot this on Port Levy Saddle, Banks Peninsula, New Zealand.
The Totara is a tree endemic to New Zealand.
