Andrew Francisco www.escapefromthecapital.com I am an artist and filmmaker from America. These images are from a project that represents an experiment I began while living in New York. Broke and looking for a way to survive, I chanced upon an uninhabited island in the middle of the East River. Fascinated with the literature on island utopias, I researched tidal charts and managed to make it to that desolate place. What I found there was far from utopic; indeed, it was closer to a nightmare.
