Bomb Story: House Adam is a parody of a popular house and hip-hop label founded in the early 1990s, but also a throwback to the rave culture that surrounded Bobby Hundreds' adolescence. The Hundreds has pulled from many subcultural references in its timeline, but the '90s party scene - especially in Southern California - has dictated a lot of the colorways and styling over our collections.| Background Story: Horizontal stripes, especially of the yarn-dyed variety, are a staple of The Hundreds' collection. Earlier on, they were derived from the surf knits and beachgoer patterns that graced the backs of Californians in the 1980s. Examples include Hang Ten, OP, Quiksilver, and Gotcha. In the following decade, independent skate brands and rave companies capitalized on stripes across boxy, baggy tops. Whether they're fatter stripes across neighborhood-sanctioned Charlie Browns or pinstripes across suiting or a baseball jersey, The Hundreds' stripes speak to a spectrum of subcultures.
