This scene was captured outside an elementary school, which has been closed for some time. As I created this photograph I imagined what this place would have felt like before. Children playing on a shiny new basketball hoop, framed by the rugged outskirts of the highlands.

Now, all that remains is rusted metal, slowly eroded by the harsh conditions of coastal Iceland.
