Digital art manipulation limited edition 1/1 Photograph. Size 6240 × 4160 / 52,8 × 35,2 cm (20,8 W ×13,8 H ).
Rita Margono is a French multidisciplinary artist.
Her work is distinguished by photographs or photographic montage having as center a total darkness, which represents neither the void nor nothingness, but a space having reached the optimal saturation level. A space containing all the information what is given to see and about us. This black space invades, repels, transforms its environment. And though it swallows up all that surrounds it, what is left is even more present.
« Through my art, I strive to illustrate the profound impact that others can have on our internal landscape. Whether through a single moment or a prolonged influence, the people we encounter can shake our world to its core, leaving us vulnerable to their control or even destroying our sense of self. It is this power of human interaction that I seek to explore in my work, shedding light on the complex and often unpredictable ways in which our inner lives are shaped by those around us ».
Worlds overlap : mine, yours, theirs. They overlap, intertwine, coexist because we project ourselves onto what we are observing. This landscape is us; this person is me. Thus, our doubts and our fears engulf the other: their space, their time, their life. This is the collapse. Universes immersed in a superficial calm on the verge of being swallowed, upset by these clouds as vaporous, protean monsters. They slide, infiltrate and descend into another world which, in the end, was as dark as theirs.
