A quarantine diary it’s a series of self portraits, that narrates my journey during lockdown due COVID. It was a pause they the universe created on us and it was a moment of self discovery, self recognition and self love building for me. Very often we put in a box feelings to avoid dealing with them. I had to face them during my isolation and reconcile with them and she’d some light onto my shady inner places. This series deliever a message of depression, and hope, and anxiety, and struggle, and loneliness, and freedom, and isolation, and afraid, and realisation. It uses the nude as ultimate expression of vulnerability, as strapped of all those layer which we cover ourselves to protect us from the outside world. I also try with it to demistify the nudity as something vulgar or tabu, because if people get to go beyond that first glance, a whole world of emotions and feelings, mine, will come through.
