Lady Kasandan was the daughter of Farnaspeh, one of the princesses of the Achaemenid dynasty. He was of Iranian origin. She was the wife, companion and constant ally of a great man named Cyrus. Cyrus the Great had only one wife during his lifetime and his name was Kasandan. Cassandan died before Cyrus, and after him Cyrus remained in great grief and chose to be alone forever and with the respect of his wife.
