Ultimately very little is known of the history of the Vandals, and history has not been kind. The term ‘Vandal’ became a synonym for destruction, in part because their history was written by their enemies, in truth, history has shown the Vandals to be great guardians of antiquities. Today when we hear the term ‘Vandal’ we immediately think of graffiti, why? Perhaps there’s a clue hidden within the two thousand year old story of the original Vandili.
