Whether we admit it or not, we’re frequently studying others — figuring out if they’re on the same wavelength as us, or not. And something deep and often unexplainable within us either sends us a positive signal, or a warning. We’re either in simpatico, or we aren’t. Yet ironically, who has not failed a literal test after studying something, or realised that we’ve been entirely wrong?

Just as there’s great sadness in learning we’re not on the same wavelength with someone we thought we were, there’s the opposite in realising we are indeed with someone, who we were initially wrong about. Simpatico can often be hidden from us.
