The MetaScream is the unique multi-layered artwork created upon the masterpiece of Edvard Munch, "The Scream" (the edition of 1893, exhibited in Oslo National Gallery). The complete artwork is composed by 8 Layers (1/1 Edition) + optional Background Layer (8 Editions).

It is a collective artwork, involving the most talented emergent and yet affirmed artists who are taking part in The MetaProject. It is abstract art, even if it originates by a figurative artwork. It is generative art and much more, as the artists’ eyes decide every single cut. It mixes nowadays advanced techniques with colors and traits at the turn of 20th Century. It joins emergent culture with the established art.
Layer Zero: Background is part of The MetaScream, the first meta-artists, meta-platforms, meta-currents and meta-currencies artwork. When the first Collector decides to buy this and at least another Layer of The MetaScream artwork, a new exclusive 1/1 NFT is then generated, composing all owned Layers on each other, thus bringing to light the Collector's vision of the artwork. When it happens, a physical frame displaying the multi-layered NFT is delivered for free.
