Ottchil is a Korean traditional lacquering technique. The lacquer, which is obtained with the sap from lacquer trees, is filtered and purified to be applied to various material. Creating Ottchil objects is a time-consuming craft. It has over 20-30 processes that include applying thin coasts of lacquer layers, repeated many times.
