this is an artwork I made in April of 2020 as I entered my first and longest solo isolation. This was after the Shooting of Ahmaud Arbery, but before the death of George Floyd. At the time I felt like the protests and outcry were futile gestures of resistance. In this video I try to capture the beauty of an battle that can take days even weeks to win. There is something hopeful about the persistence of the pilots. The soundtrack comes from an anon. black woman known only as 'B-Free' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJzofV77UaE&ab_channel=B~Free). My only request is that the work is viewed without interruption or distraction.
