In motorsports most athletes are dependent on external sponsors to pursue a career in racing. Especially for female drivers, finding necessary funding has proven to be a difficult task. German racer Laura-Marie Geissler is setting out to change this dynamic with the launch of the first NFT-funded racing team.

The proceeds of all NFT sales will finance Laura-Marie’s racing season in 2022.

The LMG GT No.1 livery is based on the design of a race legend. Its skin bares the marks that beauty surgeons use for their operations, symbolising the pressure put on the physical appearance of female drivers – a bold statement against the objectification of women in motorsports and for gender equality in the racing world.

The unique NFT set includes a 360° render of the livery, a high-res top shot of the design, the buyers name on Laura-Marie’s real LMG GT No.1 race car and her signed Arai GP-6 helmet, which will be shipped to the winning bidder after the auction.

In 2021 she started her season with a 1st and a 3rd place at the Porsche Sprint Challenge and is currently driving in the GT4 European Series. This year, the LMG Racing Team sets out to change the game – by becoming the first fully NFT funded racing team.
