Welcome to 2nd growing Season for the keep it simple sunflower patch. (K.i.s.s.) I have discovered that there are several different colors of sunflowers (blue, white, black, pink, red, etc) and look forward to growing as many eclectic colors as I am able to. I have been growing sunflowers since 2018 and they remind me to keep it simple. I would like to introduce you to the fieldmap. With help from sunflower lovers this little patch of sunshine can develop into a field of sunflowers in the empty grass lot of land next to our house. My goal is to achieve enough help from sunflower enthusiasts to purchase the empty lot that is on the corner of the entrance of our small town and plant the whole lot with sunflowers for everyone to enjoy when they drive into our little town of Greenup, illinois. Sunflower season is from April after the last freeze til August. I love taking pictures of their progress and beauty. I also reuse the seeds from the sunflowers for the following seasons to come.
