The hide and seek of the vermilion against the shutters, imprinting the most perfect shade of autumn on the pages of your most cherished memories. Here in Tripura (a tiny state in Northeast India), the sun wakes up kissing the foggy roads, its glamour endearing the misty life of its inhabitants. The trees stoop to hug the scarlet warmth as they cast a maze of light and shadow. The spontaneity of life is in its inconsistency, this paradox of "light & life" giving us a new rhythm, allowing us to love our own contradiction. Presenting THE KISS OF VERMILION.

I can remeber that day in mid 2020, when I was going to shoot the pre-wedding of one of my very good friends and my wife accompanied me. We got out at around 5:30 in the morning and just at a distance of 3/4 kilometres from our home, we witnessed this magical sight. Couldn't stop myself from freezing those heavenly views. And that view become more intriguing when a troop of monkeys came in the frame while crossing the road.

About the Collection: Life is a beautiful oxymoron. In my words "Ordinarily ornamental". I choose to capture both its aspects - its lights and shadows, this everyday battle between ordinary struggling to be extraordinary. I believe this conjecture is divine - this enigma of light intertwine with life is what my shutters yearn for.
