Each one of these digital pieces is unique and original. Because of my studies in Vedanta philosophy I’m pre-occupied with ideas surrounding the division of The Sacred from the mundane. I saw Japa or prayer/meditation beads as a perfect symbol of our attempts, from time to time, to transcend the everyday and think of something Higher.

No, they’re not generative. They’re shaped by my hand, my eye and my heart. I set myself the task of making 108 iterations concerning depth of colours , form - both organic and man made, depth of field and how the above balance, integrate with or juxtapose each other. I’m making them to be complex enough to hold the attention yet simple enough to sooth. I think that’s where beauty lies.
