The photograph is proposed as a weak object because of its correlation between visibility and invisibility. This suggests a de-construction of visibility. The word "de-construction" is used intuitively, intending to make an analogy that opposes to build which is not to destroy, but to disassemble pieces little by little as a method of analysis. We are left with the photographic image that is understood as a way of representing the real which in this case is canceled. If the print is the origin of photography, as Jean Marie Schaeffer says, fixed in a support to collect information, what happens when this information is distorted? What we are left is with the photographic code. This is what all images have in common. Our variables of definition are displaced, we have to uncover a series of filters before reaching the image to identify the subject. The image becomes a type of memory in a poetic and metaphorical way. One more step down the photographic rabbit hole is proposing this work as an NFT. What happens when the photographic code -it's chemistry- is turned into a digital code? How is this still photography and how can we as spectators construct our memories of the past, into the present in the future?

This project questions the definition of photography. The City of Mexico is explored in the need of building a new version of the city’s history to be able to articulate myself in it. Through this process, a historical archive of tiny pieces is created that constitute a platform for the future. What is depicted in this project are images that lack clarity interrupting the flow of information from the object photographed to the photographic support. This is a contradictory act in itself -taking photos in analog system, processing them and then reducing them to a system that is used for biological research. This produces a timeless effect that questions the passage of time through the photographic medium. The idea of photography as a mirror of reality was attributed to it from its origins due to the similarity that exists between the photo and its referent. In this case, the referent vanishes and an imaginary field opens up to the viewer.
