The Great Steal of the State of California represents how the tech companies in California are increasingly taking over our digital lives. Three of the Big 5 Tech companies are headquartered in California and a number of other pervasive tech companies are based in Silicon Valley, Silicon Beach, and San Francisco. At what point does the world realize that digital surveillance is stripping away our privacy and self-sovereignty… and is the price of convenience really worth that? Punk rock taught me to question everything - do you?
This is a limited collection with only a 1/1 mint. Only one will ever exist! Thanks for your support!
Crypto Punk News is inspired by two things: 1) Satoshi Nakamoto's insertion of The London Times 1/3/09 headline as a message in Bitcoin's genesis block. 2) The plethora of punk rock zines, album covers, and liner notes that include newspaper headlines and excerpts.
Punk rock influenced my entire life and is the mindset that allowed me to quickly embrace and understand the crypto space. This project is an homage to both punk rock and crypto! I will be minting the most noteworthy crypto news articles of the day, naming each issue after a specific punk reference, and including my current thoughts on crypto in relation to punk (last one as unlockable content only).
